9 Last Minute Mother’s Day Gift Ideas for New Moms
Finding the perfect gift for Mother’s Day can be nerve-wracking, especially if you’re buying something for a new first-time mom. Finding the perfect gift in a couple of days is even more challenging. Which is why I’m sharing nine last minute Mother’s Day gift ideas for new moms. Because I know that there’s going to be at least one person who is going to need this list.
Check out these last minute Mother’s Day gift ideas:
Personalized Jewelry | This is a great way to celebrate a new mom’s baby with a piece of personalized jewelry. If you live in or near New York City, you can purchase the ring pictured above from Catbird. If you live elsewhere, I would recommend checking out local boutiques for similar ideas. If you’re a Utah local, Hip & Humble is a great place to look.
New Mom Gift Basket
Fill a basket with new mom essentials, and some yummy treats for a wonderfully customized gift. This post is full of ideas, but don’t be afraid to adapt the basket to fit the preferences of its recipient. (See also numbers 5 and 6 below, which would both be great additions to a gift basket.)
Spa Gift Card
What new mom wouldn’t love a facial, massage or pedicure? A spa gift card is a great last-minute gift idea because most spas have an e-card option, wherein the gift card can be directly emailed to the recipient. Add a heartfelt card, and you should be good to go. If you live in Utah, I’d highly recommend Sego Lily Day Spa.
Guilty Pleasure Read
Who doesn’t love a great “guilty pleasure” read every so often? The great thing about this idea is that if you have Amazon Prime, you can get a book in two days, which is great if you’ve procrastinated. If you’re not a member of Amazon Prime, you can still reap the benefits by signing up for a free 30-day trial. You can also purchase an audio or electronic version, if that’s a better fit. Or head out to your local bookstore to find the perfect title.
DIY Bath Bombs
If you like to make your own gifts, here is a great tutorial to create homemade bath bombs. Give your favorite new mom these, accompanied with an offer to babysit, and you’re golden.
New Mom Coupons
Coupons are wonderful to give to a family member or close friend, because they can offer a bunch of personalized services that will help out a new mom (e.g. babysitting, meals, house cleaning, etc.) A great standalone gift, they would also be a great addition to a new mom basket as well. Here’s a coupon printable from A Night Owl blog to help you get started.
Your Favorite Skincare Product
After my sister had her baby, I knew that I wanted to get her a nice skincare product that would help her skin recover post-partum and help her feel pampered at the same time. My favorite is L’Occitane’s Supple Skin Oil, which I picked up at my local Sephora.
Providing a gift card to a meal service, or actually purchasing the first box, is a fabulous gift for a new mom. It’s also a great last-minute gift idea because you can either send her the gift card, or create a handmade card that explains that she’ll be receiving three free meals on a specific week. I’d recommend using Hello Fresh, because they’re the best (in my opinion, that is.)
Instant Film Camera
I love the idea of gifting a camera that uses film, since most images are digitized these days. If you decide to try the little Amazon Prime trick that I shared above, you can snag an instant film camera quickly online. This one is my favorite, and I’ve also seen it at my local Michael’s and Urban Outfitters as well. In case you need to pick it up the day before Mother’s Day.

Getting Used To A Post-Baby Reflection
I just went through my third pregnancy. If I could go back in time to my pre-pregnancy self, I would say: show off that stomach! That tummy will never look the same! Don’t cover it up. It looks amazing! I gained the average amount of weight with each pregnancy, but with my second pregnancy, I…
