The Owlet Dream Sock Sleep Prompts & What They Mean
January 6, 2022
The new Owlet Dream Sock is a revolutionary baby sleep monitor that tracks your baby’s sleep so parents and families can get the rest they need. The comfortable Dream Sock wraps around your baby’s foot for naps and overnight sleep and sends data to the nearby base station and the Owlet Dream App.
The Dream Sock is different from any other sleep monitor because it actively tells you, in the moment, what your baby needs to get their best sleep possible. Through the use of sleep schedules created by sleep experts and prompts from the base station and Owlet Dream App, parents know exactly how their baby is sleeping and how to ensure a good night’s sleep.
Here, we break down what each prompt from the Dream Sock means and what you should do if you receive a prompt while your baby is wearing the Dream Sock:
A lavender prompt from the base station and on your phone indicates that Baby may need assistance to sleep better. This may occur when there is significant crying or movement, when the baby is uncomfortable, or if the room is too hot, too cold, too humid or too dry. Peek your head in Baby’s nursery, or check on Baby with the Cam if you have the Dream Duo.
If you receive a blue prompt, that means the connection between the Dream Sock and base station has been interrupted. A blue prompt means the Dream Sock may be out or range, out of battery, or the signal is being blocked.
A yellow prompt means the Dream Sock is having difficulty getting a reading and may need adjusting. Check the fit and/or placement of your baby’s Dream Sock to ensure the Sock can gather sleep data.
As with any product, parents should use their best judgement and always trust their instincts. The Dream Sock is an information gathering device and is not intended to prevent, diagnose, or treat any condition.
