June Backer Update
May has been an exciting month for Owlet! Check out the highlights:
We successfully tested the WiFi relay station electronics (pictured left) and are excited to continue to incorporate them into the monitor.
Our new electronics boards (pictured right) are proving very successful. We’ve fixed many glitches with our most recent revisions. The new electronics board (above) is also our smallest model yet, easily capable of fitting seamlessly into an infant sock design.
Team members Sean and Zack are rocking the new electronics with pulse oximetry algorithms and filters. We are hitting our needed accuracy marks on the simulator and we’re confident that by the end of the month we’ll be ready to ace our clinical accuracy tests. The next step will be honing our motion artifact algorithms.
Above is one of the many awesome new designs for the ‘sock’. Our team is consistently out testing these concepts with parents and babies. Below is a picture of some of the 30 different sock concepts we have been testing with our wonderful test families, as well as one of our testers in progress. Isn’t she a cutie?
Our extensive testing has helped us hone in on the top 2 best designs and we will continue to test and improve the sock to best fit baby and relay accurate data.
The Owlet app is progressing really well. We are in the visual design and final coding stages.
