Owlet Standard of Quality

June 16, 2016

When people see the Owlet Baby Monitor, they might think that it is just a cute little baby sock with a baby monitor. Don’t let the cuteness fool you!

Millions of dollars and over three years of product development performed by the top pulse oximetry specialists in the world went into creating this monitor. Government agencies like the National Institute of Health, Consumer Product Safety Commission, and the Federal Communications Commission all passed off on Owlet’s research, safety, and accuracy.

We were determined to produce a top-quality product because we see all of our users as part of our family. We are determined to bring peace of mind to parents by giving them the best quality product.

Let’s walk through the Owlet:

First, there is the sock electronics. This is the especially cool part! We use technology called pulse oximetry (you may recognize it as the red light they clip on your finger at the hospital!). The sock electronics are designed to track the heart rate and oxygen levels of your baby. We made it 1/100th the size and 1/10th the cost of a hospital pulse oximeter. It is also wireless, so you don’t have worry about loose wires around your baby.

Second, there is the sock itself. When you order an Owlet, it comes with three sizes of sock to grow with your baby. You can order the fourth size if you would like. The sock is soft and made from organic cotton. It’s snuggly enough to fit well with your nursery.

Third, there is the Base Station. The Base Station is your primary notification system. It connects to the Smart Sock through a Bluetooth connection, so that you don’t have to worry about your Wifi going out in the middle of the night. It’s designed light up and sound different notifications based upon what is going on. Learn about the different alarms here.

Fourth, there is the companion app. The Owlet Baby Care app is available on both iOS and Android devices. Check here to see whether your device is compatible with the app. The app is designed to track your baby’s live heart rate and oxygen levels, no matter where you are (even if you’re on the other side of the world!)

Now you can feel more confidence, more freedom, and more peace of mind knowing that Owlet is here to help.

Our all-new Smart Sock is the third of its kind and it's smarter than ever.

Hi Elizabeth, thanks for your question. Owlet is only offered for foot placement at the moment! Hope your little one recovers quickly!

Are there any options for hand or arm socks? My baby will have his legs casted for clubfoot so his feet wont be reachable for a few months.

We are raising our grandson, now almost 3 months old. He was born struggling due to addiction to multiple drugs. He is an amazingly strong, resilient, beautiful baby. He has some respiratory issues that have us concerned, and I think the owlet would monitor while he sleeps, and we would worry less..

Hello, I am very interested in purchasing one of these for my best friend. She had a beautiful baby boy who was born 8 weeks early and I think this would give her piece of mind when she brings him home. I was wondering if you offer any type of discount. I really want to purchase it for her but it is kind of high for my budget.

I was due on sept 5, 2016. My daughter was born at 28 weeks. This would be perfect for me when she comes home.
