So Much Peace of Mind

Hi, my name is Tami and I am a stay-at-home mom to Ellie (4), Thomas (2) and Penelope (2 months).
With my oldest I was always so worried when she slept that I would often accidentally wake her up trying to check on her while she was sleeping. Sadly our second child, Thomas, was stillborn at 37 weeks. When we welcomed our third, Penelope, I was even more worried about her if possible from the heartache we had suffered from losing our son.
Having the Owlet Monitor on Penelope has given me so much peace of mind. Penelope is a very sound sleeper, and slept 5-6 hours a time since she was a newborn. It has been so easy to slip the sock on while I am getting her ready for bed, and to slip it off in the morning to be plugged back in to charge.
I was initially concerned about the sock staying on because she does kick often and we have not had one incident of the sock coming off, or even shifting in her sleep. Another thing that I was worried about was the light from the base station. My husband is very sensitive to light while he sleeps and I worried the regular green light from the monitor would bother him. The light is very subtle and hasn’t bothered him at all.
The aspects I love about the Owlet are the ability to check the stats on my phone, wherever I am. This makes the thought of moving her to own bedroom, and even leaving her with a babysitter so much easier.
I also love how there are 3 different types of alarms. One is for if the sock comes off, another for if the sock is not connecting with the base system. The first two alarms play a pleasant lullaby, while the base station pulses either a blue or yellow light depending on the reason for the alarm. Finally there is an alarm for if the pulse/oxygen rates are out of range. This alarm is shrill and more demanding with the base station pulsing red.
Losing a child makes you more scared than you can ever imagine for your remaining children. The Owlet Monitor has taken a huge burden off of my mind by helping to watch Penelope during the night to allow me a restful sleep.
