How to Start Connected Care


Current users of the Owlet Smart Sock who have an iOS device.


Connected Care is a companion app to the Owlet Smart Sock that gives parents the ability to see historical heart rate and oxygen levels, red notification reports and sleep analytics. Download Connected Care from the app store.


We recommend starting your trial after you have registered or are currently using your Smart Sock monitor.


Download the app here:

  1. Download the Connected Care app.
  2. Login using your Smart Sock credentials. This is the same email and password you used to register your device.

*It is important to note that the historical information will take a while to load on the app, so it will not be immediately available.

The Smart Sock comfortably wraps around your baby’s foot to track heart rate and oxygen levels using clinically-proven pulse oximetry. The base station glows green to let you know everything is okay but will notify with lights and sounds if something appears to be wrong.

My babies sleep cycle only recorded for 2 hours last night. Sick was connected and showed live recording the entire night just didn’t track I’m connected care.

We have purchased the owlet for our daughter and it has been great piece of mind, however had we known we can’t access the connected care app in New Zealand I’m not sure we would have invested just yet! Please can you advise how I can get the app?

Hi Kyrie. You can get the App in Newzealand by opening an account in the american Itunes store. There are you tube tutorial videos on how to do this. We have the app running on Shelby now. Please share this info on the Blog so others can get the same benefits here. Hi Fahren If you open a separate i tunes account in the American app store you can download the connected care and use is Newzealand. I now have it running here. Its fantastic. Google how to get apps from other countries. Be sure to back up your phone to cloud first. Bob

Why no android app?

When? Any time frame on when? I just switched from the iphone 8 to the new galaxy and now cant use the connect to care that im paying for? I have to log onto my old iphone or carry it around with me (carry 2 phones) when i go to work and want to make sure my baby is okay when im not with him. A little crazy..



Hi Brittany, Connected Care is now a free feature! We don’t have a timeline to share on when it will be available on Android devices but we will definitely announce it when it’s available!



Hi. I have just purchased the owlet for my daughter as she has PJRT which is very fast heart rate and has been in hospital for 8weeks. I really want to get connected care so we can better monitor her heart rhythm. The app is not available from the new Zealand store. Please make this available here or on your website to those outside the USA. Happy to pay the small fee for a great service. Thanks



Hello, i want to download the app but it is not available for my country. How can I get it without appstore?



Hi Marcel, the Connected Care App is currently only available in countries where the Smart Sock is sold and will become available in other locations as our shipping boundaries expand.

Can more than one user use the connected care app? For instance, myself and my husband on two separate iPhone devices? Or is it restricted to the person who registered only?



Hi Nicole! You both should be able to login using the original login credentials.



It stopped working three days after installation. It simply won’t allow me to login. I’ve tried reinstalling as well as running updates with no luck. It was fantastic while it worked but it’s disappointing to have it fail so soon.



Oh no! Try the following- log out of the Owlet app and Connected Care. Wait about 10 minutes before first logging back into the Owlet app then Connected Care again. If this doesn’t help, please give our team a call at (844) 334-5330 Monday-Saturday 7am-9pm MT and they’ll look into this for you.

Yes I just downloaded the new app connected care and it will not let me login it keeps saying sorry something went wrong!
