Update from CEO Kurt: Summer is here!
March 11, 2016
Dear Owlet Family,
On February 26 at 7:04 a.m., my daughter, Summer Shea Workman, came into this world. She weighed in at 6 lbs 9 oz and is a happy, healthy, beautiful little girl. My wife and I couldn’t be happier and we are so excited to start a new journey with our family of four! She has the sweetest temperament and even though Summer and her older brother Ashton look like identical twins in their baby pictures, it’s already obvious that she is her own person.
Two years ago, when our son Ashton was born, Owlet wasn’t ready for testing. When he was 2.5-months-old I brought home the first prototype. At 6-months-old we started doing in-home alpha tests on the full system, and Ashton was one of the testers. After a few months of some adjustments with the Owlet, when Ashton was a year old, the Owlet was good enough to be used throughout the night, and my wife and I finally experienced, firsthand, the peace of mind it brings to parents.
Fast forward to the day Summer was born, just two weeks ago. This was my first real out of box experience as a dad using the product with my own, brand new baby. We put the Owlet on Summer, and within 15 seconds I had real-time heart rate and oxygen vitals streaming to my phone. Every second for the next 15 hours Summer was monitored, and I was able to rest assured. The product has been worn every night, during every feeding, and during every nap, and it has worked amazingly. My wife, for the first time, turned to me and said, “This is incredible.”
Owlet has already alerted for nine families whose babies were in distress. As my wife was up late last night, exhausted, and nursing our little girl, I was reminded of an email we received from a mom, sharing her story; while nursing her new baby, she accidentally dozed off and blocked her little one’s airways. Thankfully, her little one was wearing his Owlet, alerting her that he was not breathing. THIS IS CHANGING LIVES.
Thank you for all of your support to my family and me. Thank you for your belief and support in Owlet. We would not be here without our Owlet family.

10 Funny Memes for the Sleep-Deprived Parent
December 17, 2016
Everyone knows that new parents are sleep-deprived. That’s a given. But what nobody tells you is that it doesn’t end with babies. Toddlers are debatably worse than babies, because they have the freedom to get out of bed. And they have to be potty-trained. And they still teethe. And they get scared. And they get…
